XtraC Oak Chips
XtraC chips are made from French Oak wood selected in the legendary Troncais Forest and authenticated by genetics. The Oak wood used for XtraC is naturally seasoned 48 months in our yard to optimize the organoleptic potential of the Troncais Oak. XtraChene developed a completely new toasting, long and light, fully expressing all the qualities of the exceptional Troncais forest. It provides aromatic complexity, elegance, texture length and richness to the palate.
Dosage: 1.2 to 3 grams per liter
10 to 25 lb per 1,000 gallon
Recommended Contact Time: 1 to 2 months for aging. We recommend tasting regularly.
Size: Range of chip pieces (approx.): Thickness: 1/8” (0.3 cm), Max. size: 3/4” x 1/2” (1.9 x 1.2 cm), Min. size: 3/8” x 1/4” (0.9 x 0.6 cm).
Seasoning: Proprietary recipe.
Useful Life: 1 time use during fermentation, aging or finishing.
Traceability: Traceability is guaranteed for each product which is labeled with a unique lot number.
Quality Control: HACCP Management XTRACHENE facilities apply HACCP processes. Testing is done for Haloanisole and Halophenol compounds and Lindane.
