American Oak Stave Fan


XTRACHÊNE’S Stave Fan Assembly creates a “barrel like” oak profile in tanks. Our representatives can advise winemakers how best to select the wood origin, dosage (new oak percentage), and toast level for their wine. Designed on a stainless steel cord, with a stainless steel spring clip, these units are easy to install and remove.

Dosage: 120 – 160 sq. ft. per 1,000 gal. (or 0.30 – 0.40  per 1 hl), for a 50% new barrel equivalent.
Recommended contact time: Minimum of 6 months (We also recommend tasting regularly).
Useful life: 12 months.
Convection toasting: Light, Medium and Medium Plus.
